I Know, I Know...Excuses No More

So, I always promise myself that I am going to write more, especially in this space. Here where I love to document what is going on in life or my thoughts in general. Does it ever happen?...not like I would like it too.  Or as often as I would like.

Honestly, I can find every excuse in the book as to why I don't have time, or why I can't make the time. I am a great procrastinor and will put things off easily. I have never been disciplined in life as it takes to accomplish what it is that I am passionate about doing. The craziest and  funniest thing though, is that when I actually sit down and write, I realize what I have been missing out on and how much I love to put words on paper.

Excuses come easily to most of us. We are always too tired, or have too much going on. Our kids activities, or the time spent in the car getting from point A to Point B, drain us of our energy. We crash and burn and then we stop focusing on what our passions are and end up just cycling through life on a day-to-day basis without much joy or determination to live the life we truly want to live or that we were meant to. Excuses are a way for us to procrastinate. Sometimes excuses are the way in which we can live up to our fears and accomplish nothing.

I am always in awe of the people in the world, who are complete go-getters, who can do something with such ease and accomplish so much. Even when I am in that mode, it seems som much harder for me, or that it doesn't come so easily as it does for others. So, I try to follow those who are successful to create the success that I myself would love to have. I try to let go of the excuses. I am beginning to fill my reading list and audio list with motivational and learning materials.

This morning when I was waking up and getting ready to go to work, for another day, doing something that is not my true passion. I realized that the excuses have to stop. That I need to find a way or a metod to get them out of my life. That I need to put aside any fears that I may have and plan out how I will brake down each task, to accomplsh my goals!

By breaking down my goals into a specific daily schedule, I know that not only will I get things I want accomplished, but I will finally move myself forward and begin to see the results I desire. It won't happen over night, but I will be closer to living the life of my dreams.

So, I will spend the weekend, discovering what it is I truly need to do to see significant change and map out a way to get there.
